When you add up all the money that you can spend on home appliances and fixtures it becomes obvious that you need to spend wisely and carefully to keep costs under control. These items tend to be some of the larger ticket purchases around the home and lots of money can be wasted if buying isn’t done properly.
One of the most important suggestions for buying appliances and fixtures the smart way is to decide before you begin shopping exactly how much money you wish to spend, or what will fit in your budget. Surprisingly, this is often not done until the customer is already in the store. Unfortunately, the heart often takes over when looking over the latest high-tech gadgets and features on the item being considered and results in the purchase of a much more expensive item than is truly needed. So take some time to decide exactly what your spending limit is before you even begin to shop and then stick to your guns on that decision all the way through the buying process.
It’s also a good idea to research your buy before you start looking at actual products themselves. These days there are many consumer publications that help you make a wise choice on a broad range of consumer items, including home appliances and fixtures. They extensively test the major brands and give their unbiased opinions on a wide variety of features and issues related to each product. This is valuable information that can’t be had almost anywhere else, so take good advantage of it. You can find most of these publications available for free at your local library. This kind of research will also help you decide in advance exactly which features are most important to you and which should be avoided as unnecessary expenses, in other words, invest your hard-earned money into essentials not features. Always opt for better quality over more features too.
Don’t just assume that buying locally is the smartest move either. Sometimes, the same item can be found online at a much lower price than is possible locally and you can often even avoid sales tax on an online purchase too. Be careful though and determine how much installation is needed for any item you make and factor installation costs in with any purchase that doesn’t include those costs in the purchase price.
It may seeem like a simple thing, but be sure to measure very carefully to determine that the item you want to buy will fit in the space that you have designated for it in your home. Surprisingly, this is something that is often overlooked until the delivery of the product and can result in plenty of unnecessary aggravation. Just get the measuring tape out in advance and know the space required to save this headache from happening to you.
Finally, consider the warranty on the items you want to buy. Be sure to ask questions in advance so that you know what the warranty will cover and how long it will last. Also, will you have to send the appliance out to be repaired under warranty or is home repair covered under the warranty contract?
If you follow these simple, effective guidelines, buying home appliances and fixtures will be a breeze and you will make smart purchases that will last and give you good service for many years.

Are you an owner of satellite dish system? If yes, I am sure that you will be interested in getting some dish network accessories. Dish network satellite accessories are great to go along with your satellite TV system — satellite dish, television and satellite receivers.
For instance, a universal remote control might be something that you had looking for years. How many remotes you have currently at your living room? Let me guess, television, satellite receiver, DVD player, VCR, gaming consoles, surround sound system… Wow! Seems like you need a big hand on this unless you have a BIG hand to hold them up all together to operate your home entertainment system.
Well, in this case, a universal remote control is your savior. Instead of having six to seven separate remotes on your hands, you need only one. You can quickly and easily switch between units, giving you full control over your entire living room in the palm of your hand. Get tidy up, get easier, and also save up with fewer batteries to be consumed. Doesn’t it sounds nice?
Another benefit to a universal remote control is the range. Most remotes are IR, or infrared. This means that while the signal is invisible to the human eye, you still need to point it directly at the component that you want to use. Some universal remote and other dish network accessories use UHF signals to avoid this problem. These remotes can work up to a 100-foot radius from the component, with no restrictions from walls or objects. Now you can change channels from your neighbor’s backyard!

In 2004 The United States department of Labor reported that the number of injuries and fatalities from falls from roofs and ladders had increased. This report focused on occupational injuries that generally occur among trained personnel, which speaks to an even greater safety concern over DIY projects utilizing ladders.
Most accidents occur from incorrect use of the ladder or materials. Before you begin a project make sure that you have gone through safety preparations and are familiar with the tools to be used. As in most DIY projects, the best safety precaution is to think out your task thoroughly before beginning. You should have confidence in both yours and your equipment’s ability to complete the project.
Getting Started:
Once you have decided that you need to use a ladder to complete your project, make sure that you have the right type of ladder. There are many types of ladders all with their own advantages and disadvantages, which may include weight and height limits. If you are not sure that your ladder is the best fit for the job, make sure to consult a professional.
Some general things to look for in a ladder are:
How strong is it?
How tall is it?
Is it made primarily for indoor or outdoor use?
What material is it made out of (certain materials can have unique weaknesses or safety concerns)?
Does it have any cracks?
Does it have a coating such as paint that could cover defects?
Are the rungs secured?
Are the footpads secure and dry?
Diving into your Project:
While you may be eager to get started on your project, please take the time to ensure that your ladder is set-up correctly and that you know how to use it safely.
1. Make sure your ladder is steady. Place the ladder on a surface that is strong and level; also make sure that the ladder is not on top of any slippery materials.
2. If using a stepladder, make sure that the spreader arms are in the locked, open position.
3. If you are using a straight or extension ladder, make sure the ladder is resting at the correct angle to the wall or structure it is leaning on. The angle is normally 75-80 degrees. Or for every 4 ft high the ladder is on the wall, make the base 1 ft away from the bottom of the wall.
4. If using a straight or extension ladder, make sure that the top of the ladder is resting against a straight and solid surface.
5. Make sure that you have at least three points of contact with the ladder when working, such as two feet and one hand.
6. Wear flat shows or boots with grip when working on a ladder
7. Do not carry heavy items while climbing the ladder, use some type of hoist or pulley system to retrieve the items instead
8. Don’t work on a ladder in strong wind
9. Don’t allow children near the ladder
10. Never stand on the top two rungs of the ladder
11. Stay centered and facing the ladder when climbing or working
These ten tips will help keep you safe, however they are not all-inclusive. If you have any questions about your ladder or safety concerns about your project, make sure to consult an expert.

Those who smoke cigars, take their cigars seriously. For many, it is an indulgence in which they relish; a time to relax or reflect, celebrate or seal the deal. Whatever times or occasions one chooses to celebrate with a cigar, there is one thing they all have in common; their cigars must be fresh or the experience just isn’t worth it.
Keeping Cigars Fresh
Humidity control is the primary way to ensure freshness for cigars. A humidor humidifier – a device which adds just the right amount of moisture to the air of a humidor is a must have device for anyone who stores their cigars for longer than a week.
Collectors of fine cigars have invested a great deal of time and money into finding the finest manufactured cigars. To simply store those in a wooden box or jar would never do. These items must be stored in a properly controlled environment – namely the humidor.
Sizes & Styles of Humidor Humidifiers
For a small collection of cigars a small container will do. Humidity still however needs to be properly regulated. Depending on the climate in which you live and the weather conditions, there may be enough humidity in the room air. That’s fine, but the enclosed container must also have the right conditions.
There are humidifier models designed to create the perfect atmosphere for any size humidor. Units can be installed in humidors holding between 25-30 cigars, or for those that hold 100 cigars. Even whole room systems are available for rooms holding thousands of treasured cigars.
Small, box sized humidifiers can run for several months without needing to be refilled with enough water to create the right amount of humidity. This allows you to fill the reservoir and basically forget about it for a long time.
For large collections – those held in a full room humidor – a much larger humidifying system is required. These generally hook up to a continuous waurce, much like a household hot water tank would. Just as you turn on the faucet in your kitchen, the vaporizer part of the humidifier would turn on when humidity levels get too low for optimal freshness of the cigars. These electric pumps use a hepa filter to act as an internal purifier.
The Role of the Hygrometer
A hygrometer is the gauge that determines if there is enough humidity or not produced by the humidor humidifier. You can have the top, state of the art humidifier with endless and continuous water supply, but if the hygrometer isn’t working then it is all for naught.
A hygrometer can be either analogue or digital and can work to control just humidity or temperature and humidity together as in the digital models. The right combination of both will give you the best overall results.
It is important to keep hygrometers well calibrated. A quick check periodically can ensure that you are getting an accurate reading of the true temperature and humidity. If you fail to have an accurate reading from the hygrometer, then too much or too little humidity will destroy your collectioZZZ

You don’t want to break the bank buying bedroom furniture. But you don’t want to break the bed because you bought cheap. You don’t have to sacrifice quality for affordability, or affordability for quality. But you do have to keep your eyes open and your expectations realistic. There are plenty of furniture manufacturers that will be more than happy to part a furniture fool from his money.
Why Bedroom Furniture Craftsmanship Is So Important
Why does bedroom furniture so often seem to give out before the rest of the room’s furniture? Because it’s usually used more frequently and more heavily than any other furniture in the house.
Guaranteed frequent use.
For many people, bedroom furniture will get used more consistently than any other room’s furniture. Even if you spend all day at work and never turn on your TV, you’ll still begin and end the day in bed.
Heavy use.
No one is a gentle creature in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning.
Toss and turn in bed? Better hope your bed joints can take it.
Who remembers to use a coaster for a glass of water in the middle of the night? If your nightstand’s finish is just sprayed on rather than a genuine varnish, you can expect that water glass to leave some pretty nasty scars.
Your nightstand will get a good rattle when you hit the “snooze” button. If the pieces are just loosely bolted together, there’ll be some damage within a few years.
Your bureau drawers will be yanked open and slammed shut. If the drawers are sliding on metal rather than plastic runners, you might just yank the drawer and pull it right out.
Of course, you could treat the furniture delicately. If that’s even possible to do when you’re tired, it would be a great way to bring a lot of stress into the room.
Considering that you may spend a third of your life in the bedroom, why not make it nice?
Judging Quality Discount Bedroom Furniture
You can find both good and bad furniture at just about any furniture store. Furniture stores tend to be a bit like car dealerships that way. But some stores can be worse than others.
In particular, be wary of any of the new bedroom furniture lines being sold by discount department stores. Kmart and Target, in particular, have moved into the furniture business with mixed results. According to a recent New York Times article, when a professional furniture craftsman checked out the “designer” pieces at Target, he found a lot of reason to believe the furniture wouldn’t last. The biggest cause for alarm: parts that were bolted together without also being glued.
When parts are only bolted together, they will inevitably start wiggling just a bit. As time goes on, the wiggling will pull the bolts loose. Then one day when you slam the “snooze” button, the nightstand will go crashing down beneath it.
Materials are of course as important as workmanship–at least when it comes to price. Everyone knows that hardwood costs more than particle board. But not everyone can spot particle board right away. What does “oaken” mean? Just because something looks like oak, doesn’t mean it’s oak.
If every inch of surface is covered in some kind of veneer, check the materials label on the furniture’s tag. Every piece of furniture you buy should have some kind of label like this. If you’re buying online, the website’s description of the piece should say what the materials are. If not, take your business elsewhere.
Want a shortcut for finding well-made discount bedroom furniture? Try looking for furniture from a respected design company. An Ethan Allen table sold in one store should be roughly as good as an Ethan Allen table sold in another. Of course, these brands are expensive. You can cut down on cost by comparison shopping online just as you would for electronics or cars. You can even buy the furniture online and have it delivered to your house, the same as from an offline furniture store.
Wherever you buy your bedroom furniture, just make sure it’s quality. After all, you’ll be spending a third of your life in it.

Dreaming of a new kitchen? In order to make your dreams a reality, consider ten common mistakes to avoid in designing and remodeling your kitchen to save you time, money and aggravation.
Over-customizing and inflexibility
Unless you have money to spare, remain flexible regarding materials and design for your new kitchen. For example, you’re vacationing in southern Italy and the beautiful tiles you find in the craftsman’s shop are perfect for your new dream kitchen. You can’t live without them, even though he has to chip the marble off the mountain by hand and each one takes three weeks to make, because they have fossilized leaves imprinted in them.
If you need two hundred tiles, stop dreaming and do the arithmetic. Three weeks, each one, two hundred tiles. Forget it. Buy everything he has on the shelf and leave the store. Use the fifteen you bring home in your suitcase as accents imbedded in the floor here and there, or in the tiling around the sink and keep them a beautiful memory.
Likewise, the German track lighting with special light bulbs which cast a delicate hue of light. Those light bulbs are so special and unique that they are only available in Germany!
Avoid difficult and over specialized items so that repairs and replacements don’t turn into logistical nightmares. All appliances, plumbing, electricity, and carpentry should repairable with no more then a few local phone calls.
Changing the Plans
Once work has begun, any change will cost you money even if materials are downgraded. This is because measurements have been calculated and materials ordered. Even a small change such as a two inch longer built in convection oven could mean that the hand cut granite counter which is already installed and ready, has to be pared down on one side which means you lose a customized finish.
Be warned by the plight of those who changed so much in quest of the perfect kitchen that they abandoned their budget in the middle and ended up without the funds to finish. Living for years with an unfinished kitchen is not a very appealing option.
Spending It All At Once – Over-Budgeting
Set a budget, then plan on spending 80% of your projected figure. Remember, no one ever pays less than the estimated amount; it always costs more. That 20% you held back from your budget will be used to cover the usual unforeseen circumstances which inevitably pop up such as minor changes, previously unperceived problems and other charges.
ImproveNet offers interactive estimators and project calculators to help you estimate how much your project will cost, how much material you’ll need, and what it could look like. http://www.improvenet.com/HomeOwner/ProjectTools/index.html
Using the Wrong General Contractor
The contractor you choose should be an expert in kitchens, not roofs. Talk to people that have used a contractor you are considering within the last three months. Ask to see the work they did. Ask the right questions: Was he within his estimate? Did he finish on time? Did they keep the job clean and did they tidy up nicely afterwards? Were his workers polite, neat, clean, and on time? Are there any complaints? A little time spent on researching your contractor can save you a lot of headaches later.
Inaccuracies in Measurement
This shouldn’t be your problem at all, but frequently this common mistake is passed on to the customer’s wallet. Before you sign a contract, insist that the contractor take responsibility for any inaccuracies in measurement or factory flaws which often occur. Don’t settle for almost fits or good enough. They have to promise and deliver a finished result according to the specifications that were agreed on.
Throwing Dollars Out the Window
Don’t pay for a renovation in advance. Establish a payment plan with the majority of the balance paid after the work is completed. Evaluating the work as it progresses and testing the finished product is a great incentive for the contractor to please the customer.
Handing Over the Design of Your Kitchen to a Designer
Your new kitchen should reflect your taste, not the designers. Yes, the pink and yellow appliances are very stylish, and happy but maybe stainless steel or white is what you prefer. You are the best judge. Don’t let anyone convince you that what they want is what you need. Work with your designer to achieve the practical tasteful space that fits your needs and lifestyle. Ask to see a virtual model of the plans and stay involved throughout the design process.
Going It Alone
Ask your friends and neighbors about their renovations – what they like, what they don’t like. Solicit opinions from people you trust before and during the job. Ask the members of your family for ideas and suggestions about how to best utilize the workable space.
Investing Too Much
Yes it is your dream kitchen but practically speaking, even the most expensive kitchen renovations should not cost more than 20% of the current market value of your home. The average kitchen renovation adds only about 8% to market value. If you ever want to sell your home, an appealing kitchen is a big plus, but don’t throw all your money into it expecting an investment return.
And on the other hand, most experts agree that kitchen renovation done well is worth at least 5% of the value of your home. Under-spending may reflect in market value.
Indulging The Latest Fads
Resist the temptation to choose trendy designs which will make you queasy after you get over the pizzazz. Remember your kitchen is the heart of your home. Make wise choices with an eye on livability. The best strategy is practical, classic, timeless. We’ve all seen kitchens designed in the latest fashion. Nothing becomes as outmoded as yesterday’s modern look. Avocado green cabinets anyone? Mosaic daisies tiled into the walls? Also try to resist flamboyant displays of self expression. In the end, you will live happily ever after!

Worried because you’re moving soon? This really doesn’t have to be a stressful, chaotic time. Here are some tips to help you achieve a successful, organized move.
1. USE A MOVING CHECKLIST. Make yourself a moving checklist outlining everything that needs to be done before, and after, your move.
2. LEAVE IT BEHIND. Avoid moving anything you don’t really need. It is expensive, time-consuming, and physically unnecessary to move things you won’t be using. If you don’t use it now, you most likely won’t use it later.
3. GET RID OF CLUTTER. Dispose of broken tools, old toys, old clothing and other items that you no longer need, before you move. Give usable items to charity or hold a garage sale.
4. DON’T SKIMP ON YOUR MOVING SERVICE. Choose an experienced moving firm with an established reputation for good service and reliability. Choosing someone that is unreliable or inexperienced will waste more time and money than you can imagine.
5. ENLIST ANY HELP YOU CAN GET. You will get a lot more done, with some family members and friends helping you pack and/or unpack. If your children are old enough, they should be helping too.
6. BOX IT. Get boxes in assorted sizes. Be sure they’re clean, in good condition and have covers so they can be closed and sealed with tape. Start collecting them from your local merchants, or purchase them from your moving company. Liquor boxes are excellent. They are sturdy and contain dividers making them ideal for packing glasses, goblets, vases, etc.–but make sure these boxes have lids. By the way, an easy way to store boxes so they do not take up storage space is to open both ends and flatten them out. Cartons can be resealed with tape as you use them.
7. USE THE A-B-C SYSTEM. Everything you pack does not have to be unpacked the first day in your new home. If it contains essential items, mark it PRIORITY A. If the contents are important, but not crucial, mark the box PRIORITY B. If the box contains out of season items, holiday items and other things you won’t need right away, mark the box PRIORITY C. Then, unpack in A, B, C order.
8. WRAP IT. You will need plenty of wrapping paper and heavy- duty tape. Anything wrapped in newsprint will most likely be soiled from the ink and will require cleaning after unpacking. Movers use unprinted newsprint. For items you prefer to keep clean, you can purchase this packing paper from your mover. Kraft paper, tissue paper and shock- resistant corrugated paper make excellent wrapping materials and may be purchased at most major department stores, craft stores or your mover. These papers also make excellent cushioning and lining material.
9. MARK IT. Felt pens are ideal for marking boxes with information such as its contents, destination room, fragile or this side up.
10. LABEL IT. As you’re packing, place removable, colored, circle stickers on your boxes to easily distinguish kitchen items, from bedroom items, from bathroom items, etc. Use a different color for each room. If necessary, make a master list so you’ll know what is in each box. If you can go to your new home ahead of time, you may wish to stick a corresponding colored sticker on the door, or door frame, of the room that the box will be delivered to.
11. LIGHTEN UP. Cartons can be handled easier if they do not exceed 50 lbs., fully packed. Keep this in mind when you’re packing.
12. ROOM BY ROOM. Pack on a room-by-room basis, keeping the contents of each room in separate boxes. This will eliminate confusion and save time when you’re unpacking.
13. PACK EARLY. Even if you only pack two boxes a day, in thirty days you will have packed sixty boxes. Start in areas where the goods are not in frequent use such as the cellar, attic, garage, etc.
14. ORDER ADDRESS LABELS. Order address labels before you move into your new home. They will be great to have on hand when you need to indicate a change of address on anything. Leave a few behind with the people who move into your old home or apartment so they can forward anything that gets delivered to them for you. Give them a few bucks to cover any postage costs.
15. MAKE A SURVIVAL KIT. Make a survival kit for your first night in your new home. This should include items that will get you through the night if it’s too late to unpack or the movers didn’t show up. Helpful items to include might be: non-perishable food, can opener, paper plates, plastic utensils, bottled water, a flashlight, a few towels, sheets, toiletries, a blanket, toilet paper, pen/paper, a few small games or magazines and a change of clothes for everyone.
16. HAVE SOMEONE WATCH THE KIDS. If you have children, especially young children, it might be a good idea to have someone babysit them while you are doing anything that involves your move, such as packing, unpacking, etc. Your kids won’t be interrupting your progress and you’ll accomplish more.
17. USE THE ONE ROOM RULE. Set up ONE room in your new home as quickly as possible. This way, you’ll have a quiet retreat, free of boxes. You and your family will then have a place to go when you need a break from all of the unpacking activities.
18. MAKE IT PET SAFE. If you have pets, be sure you have a plan for when the movers arrive. Perhaps keep your cats in the bathroom with the litter box, or put your dogs in a fenced in yard. Also, take care to do what you can so your pets feel comfortable in your new home. Bring their favorite toys, give them attention, and don’t leave them alone for long periods of time for the first few days.
19. MAKE THE FIRST NIGHT SPECIAL. Make the first night in your new home as special as possible. It can be take-out Chinese food, or pizza, but you may sweeten the evening with flowers, candles and music. It will really make a big difference and will help you to unwind and de-stress.
20. DEVISE A PLAN. Before you begin unpacking randomly, sit down with your family. Discuss a plan, including where things will go, who is responsible for what, etc. It will help things run smoothly.
21. HAVE A TOOL KIT ON HAND. One of the most important things to have on hand when you’re setting up your new home is a basic toolbox that includes basic tools and hardware, such as a hammer, screwdrivers, nails, hooks, etc.
22. FUNCTION BEFORE FORM. It is best to first arrange your furniture, and then unpack accessories and personal items.
23. GET READY FOR BED. As soon as the bedroom furniture is delivered, set it up and put the sheets on the bed. You’ll be grateful that everything is ready for sleeping later on tonight when you’re really tired.
24. LET EVERYONE KNOW. Inform everyone that you’ve moved with simple postcards, or e-mail for those family members who can receive it.
25. GET ACQUAINTED. Once you arrive at your new home, schedule some get acquainted days on your calendar. This is a great time to figure out where the supermarket, bank, post office, etc. are and will give you a chance to get familiar with your area. If there is a tourist bureau in town, stop by and see what events and opportunities your town will be offering.

What features compel us to decide upon a particular decorating style? The process begins with what we want our home to feel like and what we want out of the environment, in which we spend our quality time. Being with our families, enjoying time with friends, sitting in a cozy chair with a great book and favorite drink – these are the things we think of when imagining our time at home. If you ask anyone what words best describe country decorating, they would say warm and cozy. Having family and friends feel welcome and relaxed when visiting is important. Visitors don’t want to feel like they can’t sit on the sofa or kick off their shoes. The country decorating style, in its simplistic, yet beautiful appearance, achieves this objective.
Country decorating fills your home with charm and personality, while creating a warm and cozy environment for your family and friends. In the fast-paced world we live in, having a home that is reminiscent of a simpler time is a comforting feeling.
Absolutely, homes can be filled with the most expensive furniture and accessories, and still not feel warm, cozy and inviting. There is more to country decorating than expensive items. For instance, crafts, which are prevalent in country decorating, are fairly inexpensive to make or buy. However, they add a personal touch, and their homemade qualities have an appeal that cannot be denied. Accessories and accent pieces is a feature that bring personality to your home. A room without a personal touch feels cold and not welcoming, even if it is beautifully furnished.
The wall color choices for your home are important in establishing a cozy atmosphere. Use rich, warm country colors. Reds, blues, and greens are a few choices that might be considered. Wallpaper in country patterns and themes, wainscoting and beadboard are wonderful wallcovering options that add texture and interest.
There are several variations to country decorating, such as, primitive, folk, Americana, rustic, lodge, and cabin. They all have their own characteristics, but can easily be used in conjunction with each other from one room to another. You can have an Americana decorated bathroom and a lodge style familyroom, for example. It can certainly be difficult to choose just one country decorating style, so rest assured, you can certainly incorporate more than one throughout your home.
Primitive – rough, old, unfinished look
Folk – crafty look, angels, rag dolls, cows, sheep, Amish style
Rustic/Lodge/Cabin – all three terms are used for this wildlife style decorating, bears, moose, deer, hunting, metal, wood, log furniture, outdoor appeal
Americana – patriotic decor, American flag, stars and stripes, red, white, and blue accessories
Enjoy decorating your home. Keep in mind the idea of a peaceful, warm and relaxing setting that you, your family, and friends will always treasure.

Since Mankind first stood erect and developed a consciousness of the world in which he lived; Nature has been a place of many dangers. Violence and death, the need to survive, and the biological urge to reproduce, and to nurture ourselves and our offspring has always been a prime motivational factor.
Being alert to our surroundings has profound implications, and is as pertinent today as it was in the distant primitive past.
“He’s street smart”, Is one way that we designate and congratulate the modern man, who has learned to be aware of his basic world and how to survive.
All living things, share this “aware of surroundings, street smart” necessity for survival.
There are many things which separate us as Humans, from other living things. Most are obvious, and have been studied, examined, dissected, and extrapolated ad nauseum.
However, the Human Spirit, has special abilities and insights which help to define the Soul inherent in Human existence, and is actually a definitive proof of its existence.
Recognition of beauty. Not the beauty necessary for reproduction and the sexual urges which enable its success, but a more abstract and intellectual beauty. The “BEAUTY OF NATURE”.
An animal will stop and survey his surroundings, sniff the air, look at flowers, rocks, majestic mountains, but his motivation is survival. They are searching for a hidden enemy, or a of necessary food.
Man is different. He can look at a beautiful sunset or a majestic peak, or a natural wonder like the Grand Canyon, an out cropping of rocks or any one of a million gifts of Natures Bounty and beauty, and feel our Soul vibrate and soar in sync with the abundant largess which Mother Nature, and God, has provided.
Of course we have a Soul, feel it beat in rhythm with the beauty of Nature.
Humanity has always been attracted to these dramatic gifts and we create parks, and national monuments, and fight to preserve these special areas of natural beauty.
The beauty of nature does not exist exclusively on this type of macro scale. There is a unique beauty of nature that exists on a very real, yet micro scale.
A new Art Form. An original way to capture and worship that which “God has wrought.” There are certain natural stones which have captured the originality and overwhelming beauty which is inherent on a macro scale by a Grand Canyon. Imagine, the dramatic originality of Nature, “one of a kind works of art”, available to enjoy and display in your home or office.
This new art form has several methodologies. The nature of the stone makes it a work of art naturally. This can be further enhanced using certain treatments, applied to the stone strategically, to enhance the effects already within it. Stone is also fast becoming a medium of choice for the innovative artist, as this material soaks up paint and gives a depth to color that isn’t achieved on traditional mediums. Sculpture is the most ancient form of stone art; however stacked sculpture is a new form that involves adding stone to a piece to achieve a desired effect.
A gift of Nature, the majesty of the Earth, to cherish and uplift your spirit, and beautify your environment. Bask in the reflective beauty of your World. Stone art provides a true Cornacopia of originality and creativity.
A great place to get inspired is the museum of stone art at http://art.pebblez.com
